Using Masks for Backgrounds

With all this amazing weather it has been difficult to tear myself away from the garden to craft!! But I have finally put together my samples for a 4th workshop at McOyster Crafts in Cupar.
I have called this one "Using Masks for Creating Backgrounds" Masks are fairly inexpensive and can be used in so many ways. I use them a lot in my own card making and thought they would make a fun class. This workshop explores 3 easy techniques that would be ideal for crafter's who have bought masks and then not really used them.
I hope to follow this with a more advanced class.

The first technique is just using inks through the stencil to create quick and easy backgrounds.

The first two cards are made using a plaid mask to create quick backgrounds that can be used for girly or masculine cards.

The next two samples use a water lifting technique. I used this technique before in a previous workshop but took it one step further using a glimmer spray.

The final sample uses embossing paste and glitters to create a pretty background to please anyone who loves a bit of bling!!

This class will be most probably be in August. So keep an eye out on McOyster Crafts Facebook page or contact Adrian for details.
