Woodware - It's Rollagraph Blog Hop Week

We're having a blog hop!!!

Welcome to the
Woodware and Clearsnap
Spring Gifts Blog Hop!!!

Whether you're getting ready for Mother's Day (US), graduation season, or just because, these gifts ideas can be made with a few Clearsnap inks, Rollagraph Stamp Wheels, and Woodware Craft Collection Clear Stamps. All week long we'll be sharing inspiring gift ideas on our blogs here:

I haven't used the Rollagraph stamp wheels for ages so it was fun to give them a go!! I chose to use a couple of designs 28160 Faux Postage and 26106 Alphabet A
When I go on holiday I like to take a small journal so I can record what we do and see. Going back to Harris there is a lot of wildlife to watch ...birds, seabirds, seals and the occasional otter and whale. So this gift is for myself.

I used the alphabet wheel for the background. I used the watermark ink cartridge and embossed the whole thing with clear powder. I then sponged shades of blue and brown dye ink over the resist (to represent sand and water!!).
I used the shell image from the faux postage wheel as my featured tile. This was triple embossed to make it like a little ceramic tile.

I used corrugated Kraft card for the borders and punched holes for book rings. Then came the problem ....could not find my book rings anywhere!!! Never mind I will add then later. So I just tied a bit of ribbon for now!!

On the inside covers I used the faux postage wheel on smooth kraft card. The rollagraphs are really great for covering large areas. I also made a pocket on each inside cover to tuck in all those little bits you collect on holiday.

I still have a bit of stamping to do to finish it off but hopefully you can see that it would make a nice gift for a friend going on holiday.
