Creative Expressions # 4

This is my final DT piece using the fabulous Studio 490 "Sentimental Art". This has been a lovely set to work with. And I am sure it will get used again and again.
I wanted to get away from red this week and went back to my favourite aqua and brown colour combo.

I used the fabric background embossed with white powder on white card stock. Then I blended Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Inks over the top to reveal the resist.
I die cut the bird and birdcage from ivory mount board. I added colour and stamped a crackle background onto the cage with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

I sponged colour onto the little bird then stamped with a floral pattern (this one was from another Studio 490 set LCS018 "It's More Flower Art"). The bird was then triple embossed with clear powder. For the finishing touch I intertwined a die-cut vine through the bars of the cage and added some little punched flowers. And the sentiment is just perfect.
I hope you like it ...I do !!!
