Ghost Resist Butterflies

The resist technique for this card is called "ghosting". Generally this is a more subtle resist than stamping and embossing. Basically, you stamp your images in a pigment white ink but allow plenty time to dry for best effect. I sometimes leave them overnight. Once dry then add coulours using DTP (direct to paper technique). Wipe any excess off with kitchen towel and allow to dry. The centrepiece is stamped Stampbord, which its then triple embossed to give a glazed look.

This latest challenge from The Stampman is resist. I love resist, the possibilities are endless. But I quite like this simple resist.

  1. Hi Siobhan

I love this particular resist technique too, like you say it is a bit more subtle than some of the others. I really like the colours you've used too, they are really fresh and the centre piece is gorgeous!

Thank you for entering our challenge again.

I love the resist technique myself but you have achieved a particularly pretty effect with your choice of stamps and colours.
    Super work!

  4. Hiya, this is so soft and lovely. Like you say, much subtler than some other resist techniques. You colours are great and the tile in the centre works really well. Another fabulous entry. Thanks for joining us at The Stamp Man again!
