Yes it's time already for the next Stamp Man challenge. The lovely and very talented Brenda is hosting this time and she has chosen "Shabby Chic" or "Distressed" for this challenge. As I have done a few distressed type projects of late I went for Shabby Chic.
The butterfly stamp is a new one from Stampendous CRP147 Cling Butterfly Post. And as I have just found out, this stamp has proved a popular choice this time with a couple of other members of our DT. It is a gorgeous stamp so who can blame them.
I wanted to use soft blues for a change. I have always had a thing about blue butterflies. I coloured the butterfly with coloured pencils then blended Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks over the panel.
I added a little gold shimmer to the wings and the body was from a decorative head pin. I just cut off the pin part. Dreamweaver have packs of these with several colours in the pack.
My flower is text paper from a French Dictionary I bought from Oxfam. I used Tim's Tattered Floral die to cut out about 12 . They were sponged with the blue Distress inks. My foliage is from another of Tim's dies....Regal Crest.
Hope you join us and show us your creations. Remember there is a £10 voucher to win!!
