But in the meantime here is my take on Day 2 Tim's 12 Days of Christmas Tags.
The main difference is that I had no Christmas Kraft resist paper or the Picket Fence distress stain. So I stamped the music background and pine bough. Then stamped and embossed the Merry Christmas with copper powder. Then I wiped over a layer of gesso.
I also haven't been lucky enough to get the Tattered Pine cone die so these are real ones from the park and I have added some pearl dabber for snow.
Then as I could not find my sticky back canvas anywhere, I used brown velvet paper which I stuck onto thick card before die-cutting the deer. I have used this die so much this year....I love it..!! I then dry brushed a little copper metallic paint onto the deer's back. I also love the Holiday Muse tokens - they make a lovely finishing touch.
It's amazing to think of all the crafters all over the world re-creating these tags. The power of the Internet...!!
It's a great tag! Isn't it great to take inspiration and challenge yourself to work with your supplies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, a wonderful interpretation Siobhan.

I like your take on the tag. I tried to make this tag with kraft and picket fence, but detested the results, lol. I like the gesso idea. I also like the pearl spots.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag. Love the soft colours. Great improvisations.
