Woodware - Sketch Challenge 7

It's another sketch challenge this week at Woodware. I thought I would have a wee break from Christmas and use one of my recent purchases from The Stamp Man. The main stamp is a very detailed Stampendous stamp CRR133 Cling Castle Gate.

I thought this would make a nice card for a man. I stamped it in brown onto ivory card stock and roughed up the edges and softly blended ink in from the edges using Cut n Dry foam.
I used one of the new Magenta papers for the background and added some swirls embossed in gold. This is another new stamp from Stampendous CRP 127 Fall Tendril.

I added a bit of gold embossing to the edges of the brown matting layer.

For the strip across the sketched, I used a strip of plain parchment paper and stamped and embossed the birthday greeting. Then a couple of punched maidenhair ferns, a fancy button and some gold brads to finish off.

NOTE TO SELF : TRY TO STOP USING BROWN SO MUCH ........!!
Woodware are giving a prize this month to the best sketch submitted ...so why not play along.
