Woodware DT - Sketch Challenge

 

Time for another sketch challenge this week. I am last to post this week and there have been some lovely samples so far. 
Mine is a rather simple interpretation. I bought this lovely Cat stamp (Stampendous CRV239  Cling Cattus Librum)
If your cat could read, I bet Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass would definitely be on his reading list. So I typed a small fitting passage from the book and used that as my background.

 The cat is a bit like the engraved images that Magenta are known for. I really like this style. The word panel was sponged with soft browns and stamped with the border from the Jumbo Hollyhocks set I recently received. To finish off I used some silver nail heads coloured with an alcohol marker to make them brown.
